Food for Fashionable Thought (and Inspiration).  What makes a fashion tome fabulous?  Well, that depends, like everything stylish, on taste.

Some fashionistas favor feasts for the eyes, in which the Style Gods’ aesthetic interpretations lay sprawled vividly on oversized, glossy page after oversized, glossy page.

Others prefer to immerse themselves in chic narratives, to uncover the surprising stories behind design world phenomena, or the Best Dressed influencers who glide so elegantly under the radar.

Because our preferences waiver back and forth, we just had to create two lists to detail our favorite picks of the fashionable bunch.

So Far So Goude

This compilation/retrospective, by revolutionary Creative Director/artist Jean-Paul Goude, is revelatory.· Many of Goude’s multifaceted images were manufactured meticulously by his own hands, in the days before Adobe programs ruled the (imagery) world. Trust us; they will take your breath away with their wit and beauty (especially his snaps of Grace Jones).
